Crimson Flows

(In memory of those killed in the Madi Bus Bombing, Chitwan, Nepal on 6 June 2005.
May their souls find peace and their loved ones the courage to overcome despair.)

Bodies scattered in the highway bleeding
Men tend to their flocks amidst the gore
A young village girl quietly weeps
Amongst the smoldering ashes called home
Forlorn looks devoid of hopes
Adorn the many faces of our tribes
From the lakes to the 'beshis'
And the mountains to 'terai'.
Blood flows crimson.

Take a shot in the air, no one cares
Cries of a newborn infant or her quiet death
Squandering politicians chant their slogans
For a revolution, they say its for peace.
Were it blasphemy they speak?
Or are we fools to still believe?
Whilst their mob drown the pain and cries
Of mother Nepal as she bleeds.
Blood flows crimson.

Wrath of God wreaks vengeance in lifeless soul
Seeds and soil of hope crack under the farmer feet
A glimpse - tears of sorrow, of loss and grief
Speak not the tales of his son he lays to rest.
Pirates of peace don their armor
Painted crimson in blind hope and faith
They ride with the raging storm of hell
To mark her womb with their kiss of death.
Blood flows crimson.

Bodies scattered in the alleys bleeding
Men tend to their chores amidst the gore
A young city boy quietly weeps
Amongst the smoldering ashes called home
What dreams ye dream I ask ye?
Can't all this too be a reality?
Mother dreams of her own death as she lay
Bleeding with the wounds we gave.
Blood flows crimson.

White doves sail o'er yonder in mock irony
Vultures devour every shred of peace
Carcass of what we were once tell tales
Of peace and calm, of good deeds.
Have we wandered too far?
Or should we wander still?
Fill Nepal with compassion and love
Is it but a distant dream?
And whilst we sleep, blood flows crimson.

In Search of Nirvana, A Quest for Peace

Never thought that the world could be such a bliss
Of the goodness of nature and good people around me
I had never expected to be a child and be blessed
With all fortunes in life, to be loved and to be liked
And at times when I thought I was lost and deserted
I knew that the angels would always carry me away.

And through all the years that I had lived before
Were wrought with solitude and indifference
Life was a puzzle and I knew not
What purpose destined me to be???
I was but lost in my own sorrows
But now my sorrows have learnt to swim.

Life again is so beautiful, so full of life
And the wonder of creations so full of vibes
The greet of the morning sun so warm within me
And the cool air of the azure sky following me
I had never dreamed that the paradise I sought
Lay well within reach in front of me.

Says my Angel -
"' 'Tis the mind my dear child
Of what you think and what you dream
Be not weary in your pursuit
In your search of nirvana or a quest for peace.
And your resolve will not go unrewarded
Life too can be a beautiful garden of your dreams."
